Auntie Rocks!

Auntie Karate came over yesterday. She brought all kinds of little machines. She and Mom worked in the basement making terrible noises. I didn't know -what- was going on. Mom said she couldn't have done it without Auntie Karate.

They made this table. The wood was part of a big table that used to be in Mr Karate's room.

Then Mom covered the table with cotton quilt batting. Twice. Then she covered it with this shiny silver material. So here is the finished thing. Well, not quite finished, Mom wants to paint the places that aren't painted. It's an ironing table. Mom can iron a half yard piece of fabric without moving it all around, and it's a lot easier for Mom to iron big pieces, like this blue fabric. Mom says it's PERFECT, and she couldn't have done any of it without Auntie Karate. She also says she got some really good suggestions from Skeeter & LC's Big Thing.

That makes so much sense for an ironing table that is square when you sew. The regular ones are good if you do other type of ironing.

That is sooo cool!

Your mombean and the auntiebean are very clever.

Mine mombean sent the holiday gizzy she got to our kitty cousins Ivan and Toast. They really love it!! Ivan especially. Mine mombean has told them 2x that they need to send pictures. She'll post as soon as she has some so you can see.

That is a great ironing table. I'm a little sorry that the kitties got covered up, but it looks really great now. The storage underneath should really come in handy.

Wow, what clever beans Millie. I felt bad to cover the design but once it was finished it sure looks great and very handy. Your Mombean can always paint another bureau. I can see this is going to be the endall of all ironing boards. They are so lucky to have each other, don't you think Millie? Their Mom sure did something smart when she decide your Mom needed a sister. And your lucky to have such a smart auntie.

That's a super idea. Your momma is so resourceful. Mom would like to have that kind of table (but has nowhere to store it) ... It would be great for ironing work pants 'cuz Mom's got looonnnnnggg legs.

We can't wait to see what else your momma builds in her workshop.

Happy New Year!
